This post made me so sad. Well, not the lovely lady that was writing the rebuttal, but the 100 Tweeters that would rather kill their child than have them be homosexual. How could someone feel so strongly about their child's sexual preferences? Boggles the mind.

I wouldn't be surprised if the same people have the cojones to call themselves "pro-life" normally, but make an exception in the case of LGBTs. Grrr... :x

I was thinking about it, if my son turned out gay I would be sad. I would get over it though and wouldn't tell him that. I don't see how you could possibly say you would kill the kid.

(and then my tbm family would blame his gayness on my apostasy.)

I think those parents should blame themselves...they provided the DNA. Maybe they should kill themselves for reproducing when they shouldn't be parents before harming their kids.

That's really sad, if they don't want a gay child, then they should get themselves fixed.

I am a straight ally and have told my kid a number of times that gay/straight is not important. I have also raved about my awesome gay friends and how much I love them.

And then I said, when it occurred to me and made me laugh, "But you know, if you turn out to be straight, I will love you just as much and it won't make any difference in our relationship."
