I am so ticked off about the the wars over my dear NOM son and what Mellyleah has gone through with her last post and all the gender bashing. _________________ "For me, the problem is that I don't want to belong to a corporation -- I want to belong to a church. That went over like a Kenny G kazoo cover band.

Seriously?
Dathon was poking fun of himself with the possible double meaning of your words. I thought it was funny.
Too much drama on NOM. _________________ Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. ~ Abraham Lincoln |

As I told you when we just talked, it break can be refreshing. But don't run away for too long or else we will miss you.
Like WhatIf said, too much drama. But I'm committed to keeping NOM drama free for at least a week so come back before my commitment runs out .
Really, things aren't so bad if I keep my yapper shut when it's in everyone's best interest! _________________ "If you could only sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to the people you may never even dream of. To clarify, I was referring to your original quote LM:
"I am so ticked off about the stuff with Dathon (yes, apology was appreciated) and the wars over my dear NOM son and what Mellyleah has gone through with her last post." _________________ Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. ~ Abraham Lincoln |

I think everyone needs to chill out. Seriously. We are all human and make mistakes. I love NOM and love being here and don't want to be afraid of posting things because they might not be perfect and might rub someone the wrong way. I try my best to write in a way that won't be misunderstood but heaven forbid the day I might be.
And the grand announcement about departing the boards is a bit dramatic IMHO. If you need to take a break by all means do so but what is the point of your announcement? To punish those who have offended you so?
I apologize for the snark but I'm kind of annoyed with the recent drama here. I come to NOM for an escape. If I wanted to deal with drama I can just go to church |

I agree with the whole posting that your leaving thing.... it seems a little passive aggressive. No offense to anyone. I hope we all return to the board with no hard feelings soon.
Especially hope to hear from mellyleah and LiberalMormon really soon. _________________ Digressions, objections, delight in mockery, carefree mistrust are signs of health; everything unconditional belongs in pathology.

Let's give the whole subject a rest, already. fh451 had a good reason for locking DQ's thread on giving him beef. Continuing the discussion by starting a new thread is unacceptable.
I recommend that everybody take some time to cool off. It's ok to disagree with each other, but this is getting too personal and melodramatic. Please tone it down.
